You know that It’s a MAN’s Class loves the ability of personalization and choice. So, I am excited about attending CANALI’s Trunk Show at GOLDEN HALL. We met their Master Tailor and discussed everything about CANALI’s made to measure (Su Misura) services.
Since 1934, CANALI has made impeccable suits for discerning men of style and has been synonymous with quality and excellence in creation of suits than combine craftsmanship and Made in Italy elegance.
CANALI’s made to measure (Su Misura) experience begins with an in-depth consultation with one of their Master Tailors, discussing about each customer’s specific tastes and needs.
After measurements’ collection by the Master Tailor and deciding about the fit, one could be able to choose among over 500 fabrics of rare quality. Details are also important for CANALI, so there is a multitude of other elements to consider, from a wide variety of buttons, to belt loops and pockets.
On the occasion of attending the trunk show, CANALI gave It’s a MAN’s Class a very interesting interview answering all our questions.

What is the key-piece than every man should own?
The key piece that should have pride of place in every gentleman’s wardrobe is a well cut jacket.
What is the most valuable advice you would provide about choosing a suit?
To consult with an expert. The key to a choosing a suit is fit. Pay particular attention to the way the jacket sits across the shoulders and the chest, and the length of the sleeve and trouser leg. Canali’s expert staff are trained to be able to help our clients choose the suit, which makes them look the best, and most suited to their needs.
What are Canali’s top priorities in creating a suit?
The number one priority is quality; Canali is focused on creating excellent products, which meet our exacting specifications, from the time we order the fabrics from the best mills in Biella, Italy, to when it arrives in our production facilities. The fabric is checked and tested and certified before we even begin the process of cutting, and the garment is checked repeatedly, at every stage in its creation to ensure that it is perfect.
What are the choices while ordering a made to measure suit?
Aside from being crafted to fit their needs and measurements, the client can personalise their suit, selecting their choice of fabric, thread, buttons etc. to render it truly unique.
How would you characterize a man wearing a Canali suit?
The Canali man loves quality, he seeks a balance: the perfect blend of practicality and style, of luxury and elegance with contemporary silhouettes and traditional tailoring.
He wants to convey sophistication, but in an effortless way.

We are extremely proud the Canali Kei jacket, a unique deconstructed jacket, which has become iconic. The Kei offers the perfect solution, combining impeccable sartorial construction and fit with a softer, ‘deconstructed’ creation making it both elegant and incredibly easy to wear.
