“As you set out for Ithaka hope the voyage is a long one, full of adventure, full of discovery” C.P. Cavafy.
Some days ago I accepted an invitation to visit Thessaloniki, a city surrounded by an aura of a pervasive sense of eroticism and stay to one of the most legendary hotels, Makedonia Palace. It has been quite a long time since I last visited the city and I was pretty much excited about this trip.
My fellow traveller to this road trip was a Volvo V60 Cross Country by Volvo Car Hellas. A luxurious, powerful, convenient with quite a rock attitude car, made my long trip comfortable, safe and pleasurable. I can say that Volvo V60 Cross Country is a car that is designed for any type of adventure!
The Hotel
The newly refurbished Makedonia Palace, one of the most legendary hotels in Thessaloniki which redefines the meaning of luxury stay thanks to its strategic position and its guest-centered philosophy. The towards-the-water side of the hotel overlooks the redesigned and multi-awarded seafront of Thessaloniki, ideal for an afternoon walk. Just a few steps away stands the most significant monument and city landmark, the White Tower. And five more minutes away, the city center of Thessaloniki invites you to discover it. Makedonia Palace is indeed a luxury point of reference in Thessaloniki, offering its guests the most sincere and heartfelt “Welcome”!
Makedonia palace oozes sophistication as elegant design meets comfort and luxurious amenities. Beautifully decorated and spacious rooms with wonderful view and welcoming, kind and warm people. The ideal combination for an enjoyable stay!
The Restaurant
I had the pleasure to dine at the hotel’s restaurant where, the top class multi-awarded chef Sotiris Evangelou, creates by bringing the best out of authentic ingredients of local producers. I enjoyed a luscious, imaginative and tasteful meal in a cozy and pleasant environment.
I hope to have the opportunity to visit this amazing place again, soon!
