A Trip to Corfu with Volvo XC40

Back from vacation and I am pretty full of energy, new ideas and tons of creativity!

My first post vacation story could not be anything else than my latest trip to gorgeous Corfu. Today, I am going to travel you to one of the most elegant and romantic Greek islands and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. My travel companion was my dear friend and super-talented photographer Vasilis Kouroupis and a sexy Volvo XC40 by Volvo Greece.

The Trip

Volvo Greece conceded me the firm’s new kid, Volvo XC40. To be completely honest with you, this car is totally fall-in-lovable. I made a delightful and comfortable road trip with it from Athens to Igoumenitsa. Volvo XC40 is one of the biggest surprises.

Although it is much smaller than its other two brothers, XC60 and X90, it feels (and is!) strong, secure, comfortable and flexible. It is a car that combines beautiful design, power, comfort, good sound, flexibility and safety resulting in an overly pleasurable driving experience.

From Igoumenitsa we took the ferry to the island of Corfu. This place is undreamed! The truth is that I didn’t expect it was that engaging on the first place. They say that it reminisces of Rome, but I’ve never been there, so I took delight in “our own Rome”.

The Old Town of Corfu has its roots in the 8th century BC. It has three forts in a strategic position, designed by renowned Venetian engineers. The mainly neoclassical architecture of the Old Town is partly from the Venetian period, partly of later construction. Authentic and cohesive, this town is pleasure for the eyes.

The Look

In this trip I opted for stylish, yet comfortable looks, ideal for strolling around the streets of this beautiful island. Christakis’ new collection of Neapolitan fit pants and short pants that are constructed in Naples are made of Duca Viscoti di Modrone fabric, while they are embellished with horn buttons. They both have bold turn-up revere and no belt loops as they are constructed to be worn without a belt.

My first choice was double-pleated khaki pants. I combined them with a linen shirt and a linen safari jacket, creating a monochromatic total khaki look, ideal for voyagers!

For the morning, I opted for white pleated short pants that are cool, comfortable and stylish. A pair of brown leather loafers is the perfect garment to complete a sharp and dashing leisure outfit!
