Into modern times, the turtleneck sweater can give an elegant accent of retro-inspired style. Oozing a masculine, bold and refined aura, it can bring sleek sophistication and elegance to any outfit. Choose a sweater made of a thin quality fabric (like cotton, merino wool or cashmere, as a luxurious alternative). A turtleneck sweater that is made of fine materials is flattering and chic, as it has a natural texture, ventilates well and retains its shape for a longer time. Turtleneck can also have a quite annoying and itchy feel on the neck and by getting a quality sweater you can avoid discomfort!

Start with solid dark colors (like grey, dark brown, black or charcoal) as they elevate a dressier look. Try to avoid any bold colors or adornments like pockets, buttons or thick seam lines, in order to preserve the elegance of the look.

The Look

You see how beautifully a thin black sweater blends with a charcoal pinstripe suit, as it looks both classy and stylish. This combination brings the right amount of coolness, without looking too casual, while being quite comfortable and warm.
