Some days ago, the champagne Armand de Brignac threw an intriguingly pleasant event at the Michelin awarded restaurant Funky Gourmet and I had the honour to taste exceptional champagne cuvées, together with 14 spine-tingling gourmet dishes.

I would like to share this exquisite experience with you through some beautiful photos and give some insight into the fascinating world of Armand de Brignac. Cheers!

The Champagne

Champagne Armand de Brignac is a collection of prestige cuvées, crafted by 13th generation wine growers, the Cattier family.

Drawing upon more than three centuries of experience in the Champagne region, the small winemaking team dedicate intense attention to detail in their pursuit to create the very best champagnes possible. They source fruit from the vineyards showing the highest quality of the harvest, taking solely the first and freshest portion of the cuvée press, and blending a unique trio of vintages for each assemblage.

Each metalized bottle is finished by hand, with the application of French pewter labels, polished, and housed in its own wooden lacquered gift box. A highly skilled team of just 18 people touches a bottle of Armand de Brignac, from pressing the fruit, to the bottle’s departure from the cellars in France. The result is a tête de cuvée that offers unparalleled luxury and craftsmanship. Champagne Armand de Brignac is owned by Mr. Shawn Carter.

The Champagne Armand de Brignac collection is available in limited quantities around the world and is comprised of Brut Gold, Rosé, Demi Sec, and the ultra-prestige single varietals, Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs.

The Degustation Menu

We savoured Champagne Armand de Brignac Blanc de Blancs with Oscietra Caviar & Coulouri Canape, Salsifis, Greek Bottarga Tartlet & White Chocolate & Find the Truffle.
Afterwards, we enjoyed Champagne Armand de Brignac Rosé with Invisible Stew, Cod ‘Skordalia’, Salmon with Thai Aromas, Greek Salad, The Funky Gourmet Burger & The Silence of the Lamb.
Sabsequently  we savored Champagne Armand de Brignac Gold Brut with Soft Boiled Egg & Citrus, Citrus, Citrus.
And lastly but not least we enjoyed Champagne Armand de Brignac with The Pomegranate of Abundance and Welfare
