From Sam Waterston and Leonardo di Caprio as Nick Carraway in The Great Gatsby, to Sean Connery, Tom Wolfe, Charles Dance and Mark Twain, a light-coloured suit brings the right amount of freshness and effortless elegance to any sharp dresser out there!

A light-coloured suit is definitely a bold statement, having a pleasing to the eye effect, while it enlivens the spirit. Clean, bright and stylish, it highlights the personality of the wearer, as it radiates a pleasant and relaxed aura.

Wear the light-coloured suit all year long

Either light grey, beige or even white, on countries with temperate climate like Greece, it’s not wrong to wear a light-coloured suit all year long!

In fact, sometimes it could break the monotony of the dull winter wardrobe and if styled properly, it could definitely separate you from the crowd. Therefore, it’s time to break away from boring dark outfits for winter and give a light-coloured suit a try. It’s totally worth it!

How to Style it

When I wear a light-coloured suit, I prefer to style it using colours that do not make a big contrast in order to maintain the overall fresh and bright effect.

White, grey, cream and brown are colours that beautifully complement a cream or light grey suit. Regarding the accessories, I prefer brown than black, which is closer to the colour palette that I am using.

The Look

The three-piece suit that I am wearing on today’s post is made-to-measure by Christakis fashion house.

It is consisted of a lightly constructed double breasted beige jacket with Neapolitan shoulder, a cream double breasted waistcoat and cream reverse-pleated trousers with turn-up revere, specifically made to be worn without belt (strap & buckle). All fabrics are by Drago, Italy.

A white shirt, a light-coloured tie and brown loafers beautifully complement my suit, creating a harmonious and clean result.

The look was completed with jewelry by the well-known jewelry designer MINAS, whose items may also be found in his exhibition at Poseidonion Grand Hotel, that kindly hosted our photo shoot. I chose Poseidonion Grand Hotel for this photo shoot, because it was the ideal location to give prominence to this aristocratic look!
